UGREEN CM101 HDMI To VGA+HDMI+3.5mm Converter

The UGREEN CM101 HDMI to VGA and HDMI Converter is a highly versatile, multi-output video splitter and signal converter designed to bridge modern digital source devices with a mix of legacy and contemporary displays. Featuring a male HDMI input connector, the adapter actively splits and converts the incoming digital audio and video feeds into two distinct outputs: an analog VGA female port and a digital HDMI female port. When both video outputs are connected simultaneously, the adapter mirrors the same source image across both screens at a stable resolution of up to 1080p Full HD at 60Hz. If the HDMI output is used independently, it can support high-definition media delivery up to 4K at 30Hz, while standalone VGA output delivers crisp visuals up to 1920×1080 resolution.

Because legacy VGA cables are incapable of carrying sound, the converter ingeniously features a dedicated 3.5mm stereo jack. This internal audio extractor strips the sound layer from the original digital HDMI signal, allowing users to route audio directly into external desktop speakers, home theater soundbars, or headphones while sending the video signal to a VGA monitor or projector. The device operates strictly as a one-way transmitter from an HDMI host to VGA or HDMI displays and will not function in reverse. To guarantee performance stability when dealing with power-deficient host devices like older MacBooks or certain tablets, the housing includes an integrated Micro-USB power port to inject supplementary five-volt power. Encased in a rugged, heat-dissipating shell, this adapter offers a seamless, driver-free plug-and-play setup across Windows, macOS, Linux, and major gaming platforms.
