Design.
On the hand, the Tecno Phantom V Fold feels relatively solid. It is firmly built, and when closed, it resembles an ordinary bar phone with gently tapered corners and a comfortable, thin frame. For your fingers to fit through when trying to open the Phantom V Fold, the frame itself tapers off at the extreme edge.
Display.
The cover display of the Tecno Phantom V Fold is a 6.42-inch 1080x2550px AMOLED, capable of variable refresh rates up to 120Hz. The panel is more usable than the Galaxy Z Fold4 and the Galaxy Z Flip4’s narrower cover display. The inner display is also bigger than the Galaxy Z Fold4’s at 7.85-inch. It’s also a 120Hz AMOLED panel with a resolution of 2000x2296px. It’s simply a bigger panel than the Galaxy Z Fold4’s and you can fit more inside.
Camera.
This foldable features a 5-lens camera system with a 50MP main camera coupled with another 50MP 2x zoom camera, and a 13MP ultrawide camera positioned at the back. Meanwhile, there are two selfie cameras with 32MP on the front screen and 16MP on the inside.
Performance.
The Phantom V Fold is powered by the Dimensity 9000+ 5G processor(4nm). This is the same chipset on the OPPO Find N2 Flip and shares performance stats similar to the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 that’s in the Samsung Z Fold 4. It has 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of onboard storage.
