Starlink V3 Router
KEY FEATUREs
- Wi-Fi Technology: Tri-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax) with 4×4 MU-MIMO support, operating on 2.4 GHz and dual 5 GHz bands. This allows it to handle up to 235 simultaneous devices with reduced interference and higher throughput compared to the dual-band Wi-Fi 5 Gen 2 router.
- Coverage: Up to 3,200 sq ft (297 m²) per router, making it suitable for large homes or offices. It supports mesh networking with up to 3 additional Starlink Mesh Nodes (Gen 2 or Gen 3 compatible) for extended range.
- Ports and Connectivity: Two Gigabit Ethernet RJ45 ports (one for WAN from the dish, one for LAN to devices). Uses standard Ethernet cables instead of proprietary connectors, simplifying setup and replacements.
- Design and Durability: Compact white rectangular unit (dimensions: 1.7 x 11.76 x 4.74 inches; weight: 1.25 lbs). IP56-rated for water and dust resistance, operable in temperatures from -22°F to 122°F (-30°C to 50°C). Primarily for indoor use but can handle some outdoor exposure. Includes a power indicator on the front.
- Security: WPA2 encryption standard.
- Power: 100-240V AC input; can receive power over Ethernet (PoE) via the WAN port when paired with the Advanced Power Supply.
- Compatibility: Works with Starlink Dish V4 (Gen 3 flat high-performance dish), Gen 2 rectangular dish, Standard Actuated dish, Mini dish, and older circular models. Not compatible with third-party mesh systems.
